Number 1 – Km 61; 1.15am
Umbertide.
San Secondo, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, visit to the Bourbon palace.
Descent on Marcignana uncontaminated valley to Morra, visit to the oratory of San Crescentino where you can admire a fabulous fresco by Signorelli and if you want a small cashmere factory.
Badia Petroia with the church with Romanesque buttresses and roofless Luogo del Fai.

Number 2 – On the Roads of Braccio Fortebraccio Km 109; h 2,34
Umbertide Montone built on the highest part of a hill overlooking the confluence of the Tiber and Carpina rivers, Montone is a small medieval village, perfectly preserved and unchanged over the centuries.
Mighty walls surround the town, narrow and winding streets wind and alternate with the wide stairways that run through the center, up to the magnificent fortress of Braccio da Montone, a mercenary captain protagonist of one of the most daring attempts to create, in the first decades of the 15th century, a lordship in central Italy independent from the Papal States.
Rocca d’Aries, the castle where Braccio Fortebraccio da Montone was born, is a magnificent panoramic observation point.
Pietralunga, a small town also structured entirely around the central fortress and surrounded by walls dating back to the 8th century.
You can interrupt your journey here, having lunch with a plate of classic truffle gnocchi, made with the traditional Pietralunga potato.
Provincial road 204 and 219 to Gubbio, where you can visit the fabulous loggias of the town hall.
Ponte d’assi, Mengara and a very winding and panoramic road to Civitella Benazzone, Morleschio, Casa del diavolo and from there to Resina. Umbertide

Umbertide. Citerna still preserves in the city walls, in the medieval walkways and in the acropolis overlooking the village the memory of its rich history. Donatello’s Madonna is a must-see.
Monterchi, visit the Madonna del Parto, one of Piero della Francesca’s most important works.
Anghiari, city of the famous battle. Sansepolcro with the headquarters of Aboca, museum of medicinal herbs.
Pieve Santo Stefano.
La Verna Franciscan sanctuary, magnificent panorama. Cospaia, independent Republic until the early 1900s. Bufalini Castle is a must-see.
Città di Castello with a stop at the Burri museum, in the tobacco drying sheds, imposing buildings painted black.

Number 4 – Km 87; h 2

Preggio,
Castel Rigone, located on the highest hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno, this beautiful thirteenth-century village retains all its medieval charm intact.
From its height of about 700 meters you can enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the valleys.
You go down to Torricella the picturesque village of Monte del lago and go up to Monte Colognola, a delightful village surrounded by walls overlooking the lake and an excellent Miralago restaurant.
Not far away Magione, visit the castle of the Knights of Malta inside which, in 1502, the conspiracy against Cesare Borgia, natural son of Pope Alexander VI, was hatched.
Castle of the Knights of Malta, one of the most beautiful in Umbria, characterized by a square plan with circular towers and a courtyard overlooked on three sides by loggias superimposed in three orders.
Interesting are the Church of San Giovanni Battista, built in 1571, with a majestic façade decorated in Baroque style and enriched by the cycle of frescoes by Gerardo Dottori, Return to Colle Umberto, passing under the Castle of Antognolla, painted by Raphael in the Deposizione Baglioni.
Detour at the height of the castle of Valenzino in the hinterland for a visit to the wine shop Casa San Gabriele.

Verghereto, crossroads for the source of the Tiber where you can appreciate the pure waters that give rise to the blond river.
Bagno di Romagna with its picturesque square and the nearby San Piero in Bagno spa.
Sarsina the city of Plautus.
Panoramic journey in the Montefeltro to Sant’Angelo in Vado.
Return with SS 73 bis along the spectacular curves and hairpin bends of the Bocca Trabaria pass, so called because from these ridges the long trunks for the trabeations of the basilicas of Rome during the period of the Papal State were chosen.

Sant’Andrea di Sorbello, an outpost of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany nestled in the Umbrian territory.
Lisciano Niccone, stop at the Gosparini bar with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Lake.
Wide curves down to Tuoro, visit the battlefield where Hannibal defeated the Romans.
